A sequel to Brian De Palma’s adaptation of the Stephen King novel Carrie (1976).

Directed by Katt Shea and starring Emily Bergl and Jason London. Amy Irving is the only returning cast member from the original, although they did use some scenes of Sissy Spacek in the form of flashbacks.
Sissy Spacek was born on December 25th, 1949 in Quitman, Texas.

She originally aspired to be a recording artist and in 1968, at age 18, recorded a diss track to John Lennon under the name Rainbo. The single didn’t perform well and she was dropped by her label.
She went on to prove herself later as a talented singer by doing all of her own singing as Loretta Lynn in Coal Miner’s Daughter.

After being dropped by her label Sissy enrolled in theater school in New York City and began hanging out with the Warhol crowd. Her first acting role was as an extra in Warhol’s Women In Revolt (1971) with Candy Darling and Holly Woodlawn.
On November 3rd, 1976, Carrie saw a limited release in
Baltimore / Washington, D.C.
It took over the rest of the country over the next couple weeks.
