It is a sequel to The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954) and preceded The Creature Walks Among Us (1956). It was the only 3D movie released that year and the only sequel of a 3D movie to be released in the same format.

 Ricou Browning was born on February 16th, 1930 in Fort Pierce, Florida. 

The director, producer and actor is best known for his underwater cinematography and stunt work. 

Particularly in The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954), Revenge of the Creature (1955) and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956).
