 Dracula’s Daughter was released in US theaters on May 11th, 1936.

Directed by Lambert Hillyer and starring Gloria Holden and featuring Edward Van Sloan as the only returning cast member from the original film.

The script was possibly based on a deleted chapter from Bram Stoker’s Dracula written in 1897. It was published in 1914 after Stoker’s death as a short story entitled “Dracula’s Guest”.

It is also said that it could be loosely based on a gothic novella from 1872 entitled “Carmilla” written by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu.
